Default Mammoth Marathon

Keeping up on rsn relations, in the half (21k) Andrey R beat Nancy
Fiddler by about 1:35, while a junior named Nadell finished third. A
Nadell named Mark was 8th in the 42k. The race starts and ends at 8600'
and goes up to ~9100'.

Dude,

I think you have your years mixed up a bit....

Andrey's second place finish (and my son Jordan's third place) in the
half marathon was last year, 2006. Andrey's not racing anymore, sorry
to say. And not only does the race start at 8600 and go up to 9100',
it does it twice for good measure (the second time in the slush, so it
was especially wonderful ;-)

This year's race was epic - great conditions and really really fun
skiing with a very tough field. A full writeup (with some pics
courtesy of Jim Stimson) for those who are interested is on the Swix
Racing website:

Right you are. Another rsn skier this year was Hank G, second in his
age group in the half.
