Well, it worked in the 60's, didn't it? It should work just as well today.

Of course, there are other techniques that may work better.

What's more, he simply gets his facts wrong.

A 17m radius ski isn't called that because that's the radius of turn it
makes, but be cause that is the radius of the arc cut into the side of
the ski.

The arc that the ski creates when on edge varies depending on the angle
to which the ski is edged.
