Hey, good answer! Big speed difference!
Now to further question; is it the sq. inches of P-tex that makes the
difference? For XC skis, the best gliders are the extremely narrow
racing skis (48mm wide!).
So maybe narrow downhill skis would be faster,
or narrower snowboard faster,
or a mono-ski faster than either!
