Well here in Kentucky we are at the end of the season. I am now

storage wax?

Thanks,

Parafin, also known as 'canning wax' available
from many grocery stores and most hardware stores.
Also is great for skiing and LOTS cheaper than
"ski" wax. And even cheaper than Brazilian wax.

Not only what VtSkier says, paraffin is the base for making carbon ski
waxes (like the aforementioned Swix), with additives and color dye added
for different temps; yellow wax (for warm snow) has almost no additives
and is paraffin and dye - don't waste your money on fancier unless you race.

Hey, Brits - what you call paraffin we call this side of the pond
kerosene; our paraffin wax is different stuff. Any of you know what
Brits call the wax stuff?
