The answer is no.

Nevertheless, new way for powder skiing, try teleboarding,

If there were to be any form of snowboarding I
might try, this would be it. I like the stance
looking down the hill, the shape to the board and
THE USE OF POLES.

Actually, we were talking about doing it without poles; but for now
poles have saved the day.

I bet.

I don't care for what looks like there would be
some lesser amount of edge available than with
my two skis. and then...

Lesser edge means lesser hookups; this thing actually does
Flatboarding/tm.

Lesser edge means less control on EasternFirm(tm)

Which is why I said I might try it on RealSnow(tm)

Tell you what, for EasternFirm(tm) I'm going to be
on my edges or on my ass.

a) I've been aware of teleboards since about 1998.

I have used that technique earlier than that, but only aware of it
when my friend showed up with ONE ski,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QTwA-rmAFE

b) That guy stole my jacket. See other pics you took.

The guy is actually she, a Heavenly local, and a ski fanatic; she
plays more than ten different kind of sliding devices on and off the
snow. She has actually made a pair of rocker skis out of the rocker
runners of "double deckers" herself when the rocker skis just came off
the market.

Okay, SHE stole my jacket.

It might be really neat for powder and RealSnow(tm).
I also like the fairly narrow width of the board.
These things are so unlike monoskis which are
usually tapered from shovel to tail with little
or now side cut. The teleboards are turned up at
both ends and have a fair amount of sidecut.

Hers is actually only an oversized ski; the marketed teleboards are
normally wider. It looks fun; if I were not at my age I would actually
get one to play it. The spirit of Taichi Skiing is to pursue skiing
with the "simplest mean/technique/device," and I think for skiing
there's nothing simpler than teleboarding setup any more. To me, that
is an "ultimate" skiing.

The marketed teleboards that I've seen look almost
exactly like what she is on, much narrower than
conventional snowboards, and remember, when I first
saw this, REALLY WIDE skis weren't available (1998).
