Default Fritschi/Naxo Freeride bindings--- anyone using either?

Naxo, the first small step on the journey to eventual Dynafit
enlightenment. Be careful glasshopper, the path is long, prone to
breakage and very heavy when taken with the Naxos but the reward all the
greater for your sufference.

I've got the older Naxos and 3 pairs of dynafits. I would say
that the Naxo makes a fine resort/occasional BC binding. It will
take a lot of abuse, but then so will dynafits.

Dynafits are much more robust that you would assume from first
glance. They are generally the binding of choice among the people
that ski "fall and you die" lines[1].

They suck in moguls, but then all AT bindings have
problems in moguls since they don't have the sophisticated
release/retention possible with modern Alpine bindings.

IMHO, the only reason to get either Naxo or Fritschi is if you
want to use your alpine boots in the bindings or you already have
AT boots that aren't dynafit compatible.
