I recently did it to my Xtrainer plus, and must say the watch is extremly
fragile, and button functions tend to be affected. I did do it as carefully
as I could, but again, it a fragile thing.
Also the femal screw parts wore quickly through my attempts, so I've now
only got 2 holding the watch together.

I'd do it again though.

The battery on my polar heart rate monitor seems to have died, after
~550 hours of use. Polar expects you to send the monitor in for
replacement but at this point it's off warranty anyway. Last time it
took like 3.5 weeks to replace, which means I wouldn't have it back in
time for a cycling trip in the French Alps next month... Does anyone
have experience replacing the battery? I assume I just unscrew the 4
screws on the corners and change the battery...
