Is anyone with Comcast else having to call WCSN each week to get around
the blackout message? To determine access, WCSN locates the
subscriber's proxy. Comcast uses anonymous proxy, which prevents
outsiders from doing that. WCSN mentioned something about pulling the
modem connection for 10 seconds to see if that allows localizing.
Otherwise, one has to get Comcast to give a locally situated proxy or
call WCSN every so often.
