Hi All:

Since I am very susceptible to altitude sickness I am hoping that
someone could give me some suggestions for ski destinations with the
following criteria:
1) Located in the western US, preferably no further north than Northern
California.
2) Base camp no highter than 8,500 feet.
3) Easy access to hot springs, warm swimming pools.

I tried looking in several web sites for this information but none
seemed to offer criterion #2 as a search option. Is there any such web
site?

Wow, you're geting a lot of weird advice here. Forget Colorado and New
Mexico - too high for you. Just go to Tahoe - Lake Tahoe ski resorts'
bases are all less than 8500 ft elevation, and there are hot springs
near Markleeville and South Lake Tahoe, not far from Heavenly Valley
(elev 6500) and Kirkwood (elev. 7800 ft):

Also, something a bit more basic in the Tahoe area:

It is only about 30 miles from Kirkwood and 35 from South Lake
Tahoe---South of Markleeville. I have not been there for a few years,
so I can't say how well maintained it is.
