Mammoth land swap means new Main Lodge and Inn

The old Main Lodge has some parts that were built in the 50's such as the big fireplace wall and just grew as more facilities were added, with the old Gondola base station at the far end. Another treasure down the tubes. The old lodge was charming, even the
weird locker rooms. And organic - grown more than designed. And cheap
enough to feed the kids cafeteria breakfasts on race days.
Everyone knows the replacement will be just like all the other wretched
phony lodges across the continent. The only question is fake Swiss or
fake Austrian. No question at all that the new prices for everything
will rip the shrinking middle class skiing family's budget to shreds.
