Wow, what great photos: Jernberg, Hakulinen, Ulvang, and Svan. I was
perusing an old John Caldwell book recently ("Caldwell on Competitive
Cross-Country Skiing"), and there are wonderful photos of some of the
pioneers of American Nordic skiing - Mike Gallagher, Bob Gray, Mike Elliot,
Bill Koch, the Caldwells, Jim Galanes, etc. Very interesting stuff, I
think, and I'd love to somehow indulge in more of this Nordic nostalgia.
There isn't much out there, though, in English.
