Default Best places to snowboard in North America

Not every one. For some people the slow chairs and the lack of places to
stay are big factors counting against it.

It's not only the speed of the chair, it's also the steepness that counts.

Of course it's best to have a steep AND fast chair (e.g. Peak at Whistler,
KT-22 at Squaw, etc.). But even if the chair is regular speed but steep,
it's still cool. Scott at Alpine Meadows and a marvelous Scott Chute
right beneath it is a good example. Basically that chair is double diamond
steep all the way, so you gain a lot of elevation in no time.

Main chairs at Baker are pretty steep, but of course it'd be even better
if they were faster.
