For lodging go over to www.hotwire.com. You can almost always find a
room in South Salt Lake City in low 30s, including breakfast & hot tub.
Not bad. As you guessed everything is close by.

Yeah, have fun out there. Go to 4 different places and hit your
favorite on the 5th day as a repeat. Somewhere in the middle of your
trip drive out to Ogden and hit Powder Mountain or Snowbasin. If you
go to P. Mtn buy the $7 cat ride ticket as well.

And if you go to Ogden, stop at the Shooting Star saloon on the way
home for the best cheap bar burger you've ever had. (and cheap
drafts). Ask for directions from anyone at the resorts or look it up
online.
