I'm thinking about heading out to Jackson later in the season. I read on
their website that some parking at the mountain costs money gasp. How
soon do the free car parks fill up?

What's the drive like from downtown Jackson to the mountain? Is it a
winding road up the side of a mountain that benefits from 4WD, or is it a
flat 4-lane freeway that some POS with bald tyres could negotiate?

How far away is Grand Targhee from Jackson? Is it better to shift hotels
if I'm going to spend 3-4 days there?

Any hotel recommendations? I'm not interested in bunking up at $20 a
night in the hostel. I like a nice private room, en-suite, warm and
quiet. I'm there to ride, not to party.

Many questions, maybe too soon in the season with the group not back into
full swing yet.
