Default Type of snow and glide?

I am trying to understand the effect of snow on glide. I have read some
(incomplete) lists and have seen for myself that very cold snow has poor
glide. I am wondering what the glide potential is for the different
types of snow.
Potential glide:
1) like sand
2) slight glide
3) not bad
4) Pretty darn good
5) Hokey smokes, get out of the way!

So , I invite everybody to comment on their experience with the
following types of snow;

-New snow on a very cold day

-New snow on a 30F/-1C day

-New snow on moderate day (-5C/25F)

-Old snow, worked by groomer- very cold

-Old snow, worked by groomer- moderate day (-5C/25F)

- Old snow, worked by groomer- warm day (30F/0C)
