Most skis shelved.

But this is on of the best periods of the whole skiing season! At
least in Norway. The snow sticks to the mountain sides (i.e. low
avalanche risk), nice slushy spring snow, skinning up the mountain
with no clothes on...

Climbing season.

That's true. It's a difficult time -- have to choose between skiing
and climbing!
