Default Huez advice

Hi all,

We're considering staying in an appartment in the village of Huez (Huez
1500 on the piste map) which is linked to the main Huez resort via the
Télévillage cable car.

Does anyone know how convenient (or not) this is for reaching the main ski
area?
From the map it seems that after taking the Télévillage, you then have to
take the Télécentre, and it looks like there might be a bit of a hike
between the two.

Any advice please, from someone who knows the resort...

thanks
Mark

Do you mean Huez-en-Oisans, if so you indeed have the Televillage.
From the top you can either walk to take the Telecentre (short walk
between the two with bridge over the road) to get to the Rond Point
des Pistes area where the main cable car to pic blanc is or then take
two small lifts towards the Altiport area where you have the main
Marmottes lift. If you are going a peak week like new Year of Half-
term it will be extremely busy on those though.

Have you considered Oz-en-Oisans http://www.peakretreats.co.uk/ski/oz-en-oisans.htm
or Vaujany http://www.peakretreats.co.uk/ski/vaujany.htm as these may
be better options? Otherwise some pretty well located apartments can
also be found on http://www.skicollection.co.uk/Ski/Alpe-d-Huez.htm
although they may be more than what you have found.
