You can make pretty firm plans. It's very very unlikely that you'd be
unable to take the Interstate to Twin Falls and then head north. And
it's very likely that US20 would be just fine, too.

Of course you'll prefer it if you have to take the Insterstate because
that'll mean fresh snow!


Generally yes. However, the storm last New Years closed the
Interstate also. Idaho DoT is very good at clearing the roads, so if
you can wait a day you can almost always get through. I grew up in
Idaho and can only remember 2 times other than last year when family
travel plans were changed because of snow.
