Default Waxing Frequency question

Got back from a border cross competition where the board that was used was
run three (3) times (second place, first place, second place thank you).
It had been waxed "thin to win" using a brass brush to remove the excess
wax.

Before the next competition, should I
1) Just buff the board
2) Strip and re-wax
3) Re-wax

Congrats!

I'g have to go along with those who say wax for the conditions that you're
most likley to encounter at your next event, waiting until the night before
when yo have a good idea what the weather will be like.

At the recent Mt Bachelor event, I saw competitors adding wax (presumably a
warmer one than they used the night bfore) night before the comp, as the
snow was rather wet.
