I'm a uk.* user and think, based on experience with the fr.* hiearchy's
experience with the same kind of group, in a country with similar
internet usage and 100x the number fo skiers, that the proposed group
will be a waste of adminstrative time.

In which case, it is an even greater waste of time opposing it - if there is
insufficient interest it will not be formed.
