NYS nordic ski racers spent the weekend at The MacKenzie-Intervale Jump
Complex, racing freestyle and classic on a challenging 2K loop at the
Empire State Games.

We received about 10" of new snow Saturday into Sunday and all 50K at
Mt. Van Hoevenberg are now open, groomed and trackset. Unless there is
a massive change in the weather, this means that the Lake Placid Loppet
is on for Saturday, March 4, 2006.

Due to the many changes in the 2006 race schedule, the NYS Ski Racing
Association will be holding the NYSSRA Championships on Sunday, March
5, 2006, also at Mt. Van Hoevenberg. This event has been shortened to
a 15K freestyle race, the actual course layout has not yet been
finalized.
