Default Canadian ski by 5th wheel trailer home?

Hi Jorrit,

In years past I used to camp in a VW Westfalia camper to ski at Whistler.
Most Winter campers used motorhomes. If you have never Towed a 5th Wheel
or even a Travel Trailer through the mountains in Winter, I would recommend
against it. A motorhome with will give you fewer problems with sway in the
wind and snow. I also recommend that you book campgrouds in well advance
and make sure that they have good washroom facilities with showers.

Good luck.

Doug

Hi,
We are planning a ski-holiday in Canada for the comming winter season. We
are planning to rent a 5th wheel trailer home for 2 weeks and traveling
from Vancouver to Calgary (and doing Whistler, Banff, Sliver star,
Golden). Is it a good idea to travel by 5th wheel trailer home?

We're from the Netherlands, so we don't have much experiance traveling
such a trailer home during winter.

Any tips?

Regards,
Jorrit.
