:_ Apparently TUA Italy, is filling for bankruptcy. I'm not
:familiar with the laws in Italy, but in general ski manufacturers
:don't come back from the dead...
: This is too bad. I have to wonder if the line will be picked up by someone
: else? Even if a ski manufacturer goes under their equipment is usually
: sold...maybe the brand name?
_ There's certainly some value in the name, maybe if some alpine
ski company wanted to get in the "telemark/backcountry" market, but I
can't think of anybody that wants to that isn't already there.
Didn't Paul Parker work for Tua?
_ I seem to remember his name in connection with Garmont boots,
but maybe...
can you point to an article that says Tua specifically is done? i know the
parent company filed, but i haven't read anything that says you won't see
tuas on the racks this fall.....

_ From what I read, they got over extended in moving their
factory last year and fell far enough behind in production that
they spiralled under. I seem to remember that something similar
almost happened to K2 a few years ago, but I could be wrong. I
don't think you'll see the new Tua's in the shop this fall...
They'd need to be on the boats now, and it doesn't sound like the
factory is running. Too bad, I was looking forward to demoing the
Tsunami.
