One day of rain and snow, the next was sunny, which is in the web
page.

Slopes were packed. * It was 16" of snow the previous day. * Trails
were groomed to start, turned to crud later in the afternoon. * Some
trails were not groomed which was more of a challenge. * Wiping out in
them meant walking down the hill to a flat spot.

This time of the year can be summed up as 2 days of snow (bad
conditions), 2 days of sun (go go go).

Gambling sucked, slots and VP machines were tight. * I have another
web page which talks about that.http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/show...624243&page=11

Mexican food at Lakeside Inn (Latin Soul) was the best.

Great trip. * *Heavenly is a great mountain. *Start out with the
gondola, ride the California trail, stay on the California side to
start, explore, then take the sky express to the Nevada side and eat
lunch at East Peak lodge. * Ride the Orian trail thinking of Sonny, do
Comet, and everything on the Nevada side, then head back to the
gondola. * * There's a grocery store next to the village with a great
pizza place next door, which has garlic crust pizza, yum. * * *In the
morning the grocery store has bakery treats to pick from. * *Grab a
milk and you're all set. * Buy your lift tickets 7 days in advance to
get a discount. * Rent equipment from the powderhouse here.http://www.tahoepowderhouse.com/

There was a clock tower in one of the pictures, a meeting place??

The clock tower is the Heavenly village. Yes, it can be a meeting
place. Directly under the clock is the ticket center and the
gondola.

On the north side is the Marriott, that's where I stayed.

On the south side is the Powder House ski rental shop, a breakfast
place, and a few other shops. Around the corner is an ice skating
rink, more coffee shops, a movie theater, and the Marriott vacation
resort. Across the street from that is a grocery store, pizza
joint, and more strip mall shops.

So basically, everything is in the village area, just depends on how
far you want to walk. Yes, you can tell people to meet you at the
gondola clock and they'll know where to go.

Agreed.
