Ankle injury

Now that boarding season is about to start, I've managed to re-injure my
bad ankle (the left). To me, it seems that more stress is put on the
lead foot. I'm just wondering if I could expect any relief by switching
to a goofy stance and leading with my good ankle.
Also, any good brace/wrapping techniques would be appreciated. Maybe a
really stiff boot?
I don't think riding switch is a great idea to protect an ankle.
Stiffer boots will definitely help. Some people ride hardboots to
protect their bum ankles but perhaps that's overkill. Still it's
November, at least a 4-6 weeks before any major snowboarding... rehab
rehab rehab!
