There's snow in Val Thorens in July! This seems crazy to me. Though
the weather has certainly been freaky over here in the UK too.

Val Tho is at 2300 m, and there's nothing particularly unusual about
snow falling at that altitude in summer. Indeed, yesterday's forecast
for the French Alps predicted snow down to 1800 m in places, which is
less common but not unheard of. In any case it will all have melted in a
couple of days at most except at much higher altitudes.
