Dropping out and "moving to the mountains"
The question is, what is your degree in and what degree are you going
for. If you are close to finishing the next degree, I'd say go for it.
You can always ski bum after the degree but many people...

I'll second the Dakine, I have the Hele Pro and it's the best pack I've
ever had. The only problem was the shovel pocket didn't fit my old
huge Black Diamond shovel but it fits a Dakine shovel...
