Greetings fellow skiers! A skiing buddy of mine recently "acquired" a pair of boots made by Dynafit. They appear to be called 3F Team, or maybe Team 3F. They're a 4-clip boot, white, with loads of rather loud dayglo colour flashes, presumably to make you ski better... Anyway, what I'm wondering is this - does anyone out there know: a) are these racing boots? They seem very stiff. b) What's the spring up the back for? I can't work out whether it's supposed to be a flex adjustment (which would sort out (a) above) or a kind of angle_of_forward_lean adjustment, in which case what's the point of the spring? Any light anyone can shed on these mysterious boots would be most appreciated, as my friend is currently blaming them for all his skiing problems (ha ha ha!). Cheers and happy schussing Fraser Hi Fraser, I believe these are a racing boot. But that doesn't mean you can't wear them as an all mountain boot, if you're a radical enough skier. I believe the spring on the back is angle adjustment/aesthetics. I hope this helps and that your friend has overcome his skiing woes!
