Ok, booked the trip, going in Feb., tried to book before Euro school holidays.
Found what looks like a decent room with WC for $94.00/night w/
breakfast & hot tub.
Exchange for Swiss Franc currently 1:1.
Will try to get to Saas Fee as well.
All the cheaper places seemed to book up early (naturally).
Got a frequent flier points flight,short layovers in France. 2 trains
to Zermatt.
Check out Delta card. If you are a new customer, card comes with 25K
bonus points,
enough for some flights.

Travel sights not much help,listing mainly more $$$ rooms.Kayak.com
accesses all (or most) of the others.
Used Trip Advisor for reviews. Use these sights as a guide, if they say
sold out, try the property directly.

Any recomendations on bars,restaurants,routes,lift line avoidance,
where to find skier girls that speak english greatly appreciated !

Avoid the french at all costs. They are mean and smelly.

You will find few people in Switzerland that speak English. Brush up
on your German and french. At the ski areas there will be people who
speak English. (Mostly the tourists.)
