Porcupine Mountains?

Any parts of the Porcupines good for tele skiing, or is that area more
appropriate for x-country?

The only area that I know of for tele skiing would be the downhill area
on the shores of Lake Superior, in the park. Most of the other hills
are
either overgrown or too steep (the escarpment) for tele skiing.
However,
all that said, I have found some great trails for cross country there.
The Hemlock trail is one of the most beautiful I have seen in the
midwest.

They have awesome downhill and a fair classic system. The terrain is a bit
tough, I have never heard of anyone tele-ing there though. The Porkies don't
really lend themselves to tele skiing.
