Vancouver Island skiing

Besides Mount Washington area, are there any other XC ski areas? I am
looking for ones that are closer to Victoria.

Oh, there's a couple of places on the road up to Port Hardy, but they
are way the opposite of Victoria.... Went past them last year.
Nothing was skiable of significance at the end of January. Whistler
would have been better.
