Olympics: snow when you don't want it
Snow and rain canceled the practice for the women's combined yesterday;
the race, which is supposed to happen today, will be held (if it's held) with a shortened DH course, which will tend to favor Paerson and Kostelic (if she competes) and make things tougher on the US gurls. And it looks like the men's SG will face some challenges too. http://www.skiracing.com/news/news_d...hp/3453/ALPINE |
Latest: women's KB posponed because of high winds. 75-minute delay, one
racer -- Nika Fleiss -- started and crashed halfway, they called the race. They'll run the two SL runs tonight and the DH portion tomorrow, weather permitting. Oh, and Kostelic is going to race. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060217/...NlYwN5bmNhdA-- |
