Early ski wax?
 

When did grip style ski wax first come into use?

Seems like the first grip was one ski with some kind of animal skin.
Then maybe wooden skis with full length grip wax (is that right?).

So;
when did wax that can grip and also glide come into use?

I think they used tar on wooden skis. Must have been fun.

Very cool! I am going to have to try Super Hot Sauce glide wax! Would
be nice not to have to re-wax with temperature change. Anybody here try it?
