Heel Pads On Ski Boots
Is it worth replacing the heel pads on the boots if it looks like
the rest of the boots looks good? I've searched the web and it's hard to find the pads for my specific boots which are Salamons. They are the Performa Forte 9.0. I've checked the Salamon web site and they don't seem to sell them. Anyone with any insights or ideas? Thanx in advance Alan |

I replaced the lugs on my Atomics 2 winters ago as they were very worn down by the long walk to and from the locker room. Surefoot did it for me, they went through their supplier. So a rep, or a shop with good lines of supply are the go. It's definitely worth replacing the lugs. I'll probably need to do mine again in a few years. -- Don't try to email me; I'm using the spammer du jour's email addy |

I took an old heel with me and compared used pairs of boots until I found a pair that had the right size/shape of heels. Paid about $10 US as I remember, about 3 years ago. H. R.(Bob) Hofmann |
