Going to Flaine, France next weekend.

Any thoughts or tips re local nightlife greatly appreciated.

it's not the andorra of the french alps!

a few pubs to try are the white grouse and the perdoix noir. the grouse is
in the main square in flaine forum - make use of the happy hours. the noir
is at the upper (foret) level. also on the upper level is the diamant noir
nightclub. that is pretty much it for flaine. it's mainly cafe bars and
restaurants, and not the place to go if you want kicking nightlife. i go
there for the skiing and boarding, of which you have a huge choice of runs.

one other thing to add....

if you smoke you'll be in heaven in the grouse. if you don't then you'll
feel like you've had 40 within an hour - the french love affair with tobacco
is as healthy as ever.
