I missed the mens sprint. Top five to the old viking nation. sweet :-)
also impressive with norwegian victory in freestyle race. not so
common.
on the other hand, Hetland won Engadin ski-marathon once.

Someone else already linked to the women's sprint final, but Swedish
TV has clips of the men's final and the ends of both distance races at
Rybinsk, too (among other ski stuff). The men's sprint is particularly
funny - after the Swede Joensson gets kicked out for two false starts,
it's five red-clad racers against each other.

Thanks for the links. It was also funny the way Joensson played dumb
and then to the crowd while the officials were trying to throw him out.
I symphathize in a way, because it seems unfair to let the first skier
pass, then throw out subsequent ones. In track it used to take two (or
even three?) false starts to get tossed, but with a big enough field it
could go on all day, which is why they switched.
