Big Sky in March?
My wife and and I are blue/green skiers just back from a few days at
Big Sky. We have skied in Utah, Colorado, and Italy and both feel Big Sky is the perfect match for us. Great snow conditions, short lift lines, relatively unpeopled trails, and a layed-back unpretensious atmosphere. (The food in Italy is much better.) We are considering going back this March for a week but want reassurance that snow conditions are likely to be as good. Is there anything on the Internet that lists snowfall by month over the years. Thanks, Martin |

Thanks, Martin I can't tell you if there's an internet site that shows snow levels by year. However, I can tell you that in the ten years I spent living at Big Sky the skiing in March was very very good. Usually every successive month the area is open during the season it gets better as far as snow and skiing conditions go. The area closes in April not because it's out of snow, but because it's out of people. The food will not get better as the season goes on. jack |
