Ski challenge of my life
On 13 March 2004 I will be taking up the challenge of my life. I am going to
Austria to take part in the White Peaks Challenge for Scope. Joining 80 other people gathered from all walks of life around the UK, our challenge will be to ski 24 peaks in just 48 hours. Along the way we will be skiing over 130km of piste including one of the longest runs in the world with a vertical drop of 1,435 metres! To help support we are looking for 50 individual sponsors to each make a donation of £50.00 however this is fundraising with a difference and each of the 50 sponsors will get a 1 in 50 opportunity to win a huge fantastic original canvas commissioned for bohemia by acclaimed artist Simon Seabright, along with every sponsor receiving a stunning set of 4 fused glass coasters by Emma Dicks (in time for Christmas!) Every six hours a baby is born with Cerebral Palsy in Britain. It can happen to any child. Scope is one of the largest charities in the UK working with disabled people, their families and carers. More details of the challenge, images of the Canvas and coasters can be found at www.bohemia-online.net I will also be completing an online diary for the BBC Hereford and Worcester website, you can also find details of the challenge the http://www.bbc.co.uk/herefordandworc...ite_peak.shtml If you can help in any way, whether as a sponsor of the event or even by donating items for a pre Christmas auction please let me know as soon as possible Thank you so much for your help. I look forward to hearing from you. Steve |
