Standard bindings on Line skis ?

Looks like Line skis have snowboard style inserts to accomodate their own
bindings.
Can you put "standard" bindings on these skis, or would the inserts
get in the way ?

Is this new this year? My son picked up a pair of Line 1260's and he got
a set of Marker 1200's with them. I didn't look close, but I thought the
skis were just a plain flat top and the Markers were generic, nothing
special.

I went to the US web page for Line and found this...

"Line Skis, LLC, will not be delivering its alpine binding to its customers
for the 03-04 season. This is, of course, a painful decision, but is
necessary due to two unforeseen factors: the withdrawal of Victor Plastics,
Line's binding manufacturer, from its China operations; and the onset of the
SARS epidemic in China."

I like the concept of being able to move one set of bindings to different
